The Schlumberger Media Transfer Series (MTS) is a family of highly modular and flexible semiconductor device handling systems. The MTS can be configured to handle a wide range of operations required in the back-end manufacturing process. MTS systems have been configured for use in several applications including:
- Media transfer with sorting
- PGA inspection and straightening during final pack
- Fan attach and test during final pack
- Burn-in board loader/unloader with sorting
The base system includes:
- A high speed servo-controlled component handling module
- Advanced tray handling systems with six automatic tray stack positions
- Four fully automatic tray sites and up to three manual sites
- Built-in vision system for auto-calibration and device registration for on-the-fly placement adjustments
- A work area for additional operations
