Integrated Diagnostic Environment
IDE is exactly what the name implies... an integrated diagnostic environment for the device analysis lab of today and tomorrow. IDE brings common workstation control and CAD/OAE navigation to most systems found in the analysis lab and allows them to function as a unified system. Workstation control lets the user make precise and repeatable measurements on complex devices while working in a common operating environment for diverse equipment. CAD navigation provides rapid traversal across the die using schematic symbols, signal names, mask layout features or previously stored coordinates. CAE navigation correlates acquired data to simulated data.
The IDE network ties together Schlumberger IDS e-beam and ion-beam systems with other diagnostic equipment. Using common workstation control and navigation software, the operator moves the device from system to system while using the same CAD/CAE data, shared images and location information. Failure data can then be inserted electronically into report documents. Reduced cross-training needs for all systems allow the user to concentrate on the analysis of the device, leverage information from one system while on another, and generate reports quickly.
