IDS End-point Analyzer
The IDS End-point Analyzer is a productivity option for the IDS P2X and AMS focused ion-beam (FIB) systems. A typical repair session on the FIB will often involve reforming a similar task over and over again. For example, Milling an opening through dielectric in order to expose and underlying metal line is a task which can be repeated many time during the course of analysis. It is necessary for the operator to continuously monitor the progress of the milling operation in order to determine when to terminate the specific layer if enough knowledge about the device structure were available.
The End-point Analyzer provides an increased level of automation to IDS PX2 and AMS systems. System users no longer have to continually monitor the progress of an operation, since End-point Analyzer will automatically terminate the operation at the proper time. This frees the user from an otherwise repetitive and mundane task.
