Packaging is the brand for the people.

Retail packaging is one of the most challenging design disciplines, requiring creative skills and marketing savvy unique to the packaging industry. Packaging represents an enormous investment in time, manpower and money by clients, and can make or break a product’s success.

At JAMdesigns, we understand the significance of consumer and competitive research to the overall package design process, and in turn, to the success of the product. Our design methodology reflects our commitment to strategic branding and stewardship of brand equity, throughout the design process.

Libby’s Nectars RTD (Ready-To-Drink)

A brand of Nestlé Beverage Company, with several different flavors, was a great opportunity to help invigorate dated packaging and visuals. The PDF contains two pages.

Nestlé Quik (Powdered and RTD)

The largest single brand within the Nestlé family of products, required several designers to handle approximately 48 different SKUs when factoring in flavors and fortification variations.

Carnation Hot Chocolate Mix

The Carnation line of products within the Nestlé family is quite large when consumer and food service categories are factored in to overall brand sales. This two-page PDF is of the consumer hot chocolate mix carton.

Software/Product Packaging

While food products are a large part of my packaging portfolio, here are some samples of other types of packaging I’ve developed over the years.

Killer Shake RTD

This RTD faux milkshake brand, targeted at preteen to teen market, was a rare venture for Nestlé in trying to establish a youthful “dude” positioning. A tough attitude to maintain without Bart Simpson on the carton.

MJB European Roast Coffee

One of several major coffee brand redesigns I had the privilege to work on. MJB along with Hills Brothers were redesigned back in 1993-95 to adopt to new NLEA nutritional labeling information guidelines.

Taster’s Choice (Instant Coffee)
